An award-winning abode!

In honor of the Academy Awards this weekend, I thought I would feature this beautiful home which belongs to the Oscar winning actress, Halle Berry. I fell in love with this house when I first saw it featured on a real-estate site. It is currently listed for $5 million. Located in Beverly Hills, this Mediterranean-style home has magnificent gardens, fountains and intricate ironwork throughout. A perfect place to display an Oscar for Best Actress!

Painted Provincial

Check out the newest addition to The Brushed Bureau (space 360). This hand-painted 6-drawer chest is part of the Bassett vintage French Provincial collection. I love these old pieces from the 50s and 60s because they are well constructed from solid oak or walnut which means they are almost non-destructive. New Mexico, New Home!

Only 4 days left to enter for your chance to win HGTV's 2010 Dream Home located in New Mexico. Although, I am not a huge fan of the modern exterior architecture, I absolutely love the interior features. A few of my favorites are the colorful tile work, Brazilian chestnut floors and the open layout with enormous windows. Amy Butler (textile designer extraordinaire) has done it again! She has created a rich, colorful, fresh and dynamic line of prints for her new LOVE collection.
