It's always the little things that thrill me...like Amy Butler's wallpaper. Of course, I love her fabrics too. But, when I found out she was extending her talents to wallpaper, I really got happy. Check out the 2011 Southern Living Idea House is located in Central Texas in Horseshoe Bay on the shores of Lake Lyndon B. Johnson. I love the home’s classic architecture with it's Mediterranean details. This home includes terraces and courtyards, vaulted ceilings and a detached guest retreat casita with a boat dock below. Things are heating up!

Our annual summer tent sale is going on this weekend. It is the biggest sale of the year! So, if you don't mind the heat, stop by Blacklion for drastically reduced furniture outside under the tent. And, if it gets too hot outside, there are also fantastic bargains inside the store!!

Market Madness

During mid July when everyone is relaxing during their summer vacations, things are usually heating up in the bustling world of retail. Although I have been absent from posting on this blog, I have been swamped buying new merchandise and preparing for summer sales events. In fact, I just got back from a busy (but fun!) two day trip to Atlanta where the Home & Gift market is held at AmericasMart. I got a sneak peek at new product.... the main design trend was vintage accessories. I also got to meet Vern Vip (HGTV's Design Star, Trading Spaces). He has teamed up with Burnes of Boston and they debuted their new line of mirrors, frames and sconces. It was so much fun to buy merchandise, see celebrities and new product but I was happy to arrive back home to Charlotte, NC!
