Euro-Trash is treasure!

It has been awhile since I did a post on Annie Brahler, the super talented owner/designer of Euro-Trash. Don't let the name "Euro-Trash" fool you...there is nothing trashy about this lady's style! She was featured last summer in House Beautiful. The article displayed her beautiful updated home decor. She is still a fan of chandeliers, french antiques and large mirrors which is why I will always be a fan of hers!

Summer color combo

I am loving the vibrant teal and red orange mix of colors this summer. I first took notice on Z Gallerie website (below),  then was prompted to doing some research and found great inspiration rooms. These colors are perfect for the warmer months ahead but I am thinking I might permanently incorporate them into my home decor.

Going coastal

I often feel like I need to "lighten up" my home decor during the spring and summer months. I have added a few "beachy" items to the store and also found some other fabulous accessories on Etsy. So if you are looking to freshen things up in your home, check out some of these cool items below.

Transforming the new into old

I am sometimes disappointed when I order merchandise on-line. Instead of returning it to the manufacturer, I usually get an idea to "transform" it. That is exactly what happened here with these "on beach time" signs. They were not distressed enough for me so I decided to give it the cottage chic, vintage, distressed look with a little paint and sandpaper. Check out the finished piece below. It looks more like something that I would hang in a beach house now!
