Wall flower

Check out these beautiful wall paper designs. I stumbled across these lovely textiles from Trustworth when searching for botanical wall art. And, I totally fell in love with these papers! They have a mystical sense and reminiscent of the 19th century Arts and Crafts movement. I did a little more research and discovered that I was right about these designs being antiques from the Arts and Crafts period. They are based on the designs of the renowned English architect, Charles Francis Annesley Voysey. Who was an innovative artist for his time. For more info on where to purchase these wall papers, visit Trustworth Co.

Picking up the pieces

I've picked up a few pieces of vintage glass ware this week.... mostly Green Depression Glass and Milk Glass. Along with a cool vanity mirror. I'll be busy trying to decide what to sell in The Sleepy Poet, on Etsy and what to keep for my personal collection. I really do NOT need to add anything to my personal inventory but sometimes I just can not resist!

Make a splash...

....back SPLASH, that is! I'm planning on renovating my kitchen sometime in the near future so I did a little research and found some interesting kitchen tile trends. It seems like herringbone and arabesque are very popular patterns these days. Also, the decorative tile and exposed brick look are in vogue. Here are some of my picks...

What's "in-store"....

I have successfully set up shop in the Sleepy Poet Antique Mall ....my space is in the new addition of the mall to the far right (space N-15). I keep forgetting to take pics of my booth but I did get a chance to snap a photo of my newest painted piece below. This is
the first piece that I have painted in 7 months! It was good to take a break from furniture painting. To be honest, I'm not sure if I will ever be back to painting the amount of pieces like I did from my former Blacklion days.

This cute little French Provincial 2-drawer side table has a fresh coat of gray and peacock blue (ASCP French Linen and Aubusson). I also waxed this piece with a dark finish...I forgot how labor intensive waxing can be!

Original gold vintage French hardware on bottom drawer. Top drawer is hidden with no hardware.

Drawers are lined with antique French paper

I went heavy on the distressing...allowing a lot of the original wood color show through.

This cutie is ready for a new home!
