Going green in Georgia

Can you believe it is that time of year again for HGTV to unveil their 2012 Green Home? I am really excited this year because this home is just a couple of hours (driving distance) to Charlotte which is my home base. The 2012 HGTV Green Home is a 2,300-square-foot Modern Farmhouse which meets the LEED certified requirements. You can register to win this fabulous home on the HGTV site.

Check out one of my latest transformations. The first step was repairing a couple of scratches on the top. Then, I painted it with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint...my favorite paint! ASC paint is more expensive than latex but it is worth it...no sanding required! The final step is always cleaning the drawers and lining them with wallpaper or shelf liner. I think this little antique dresser turned out adorable. Now for sale in the Dilworth store and ready for a new home!
