What's "in-store" for February

I love this gray stool (ASCP French Linen) that I reupholstered
in a modern vibrant white and blue dot fabric. (update: sold)

A great collection of brass that I picked up from an estate sale.(sold)

These are small trinket boxes with cute miniature felt flowers. I thought I would put
these out in time for Valentines Day. They are left over from my Felt Happy Flower
business that I had a couple of years ago on Etsy. (round box is sold)

This is vintage mahogany Butler's Table from the early 1900-1920s.
This was a rare find...these tables are usually round pie crust style.
The leather top is fair condition and needs a little TLC.

I gave this chair a face-lift... with a fresh coat of white and
new fabric. This piece would make a perfect desk chair! (update: sold)

And, as always, I usually find a few new decanters to add
to the store inventory. I've acquired quite a collection! (update: sold)

Come check us out at The Sleepy Poet on South Blvd.
There's tons of great new product in store!

A good chair day!

Are you familiar with Rifle Paper Co.? Not only are they the creators of the most beautiful vintage inspired paper goods but also furniture. Check out Rifle Paper Company's new beautiful chair line sold at Anthropologie....
Signature colorful whimsy floral design on a contrasting black background.

Love this vintage map design!

I'm not sure if I can pick a favorite fabric pattern...I love them all! I am betting that these will sell out fast! For more info, check out Anthropologie.

I've added a few furniture pieces to my space since inventory was getting low. Annie Sloan French Linen is one of my favorite colors as you can see below. I am in the process of adding additional furniture pieces and I promise to post them on the right side bar of this blog page when they are delivered to the store.

St. Simons Sanctuary

HGTV has unveiled its 2017 Dream Home in St. Simon's, GA. I was thrilled that HGTV chose St. Simon's Island for their new dream home site. I have visited this lovely part of the Atlantic Coast several times...it's a charming coastal town. Here's my synopsis of the St. Simon's Dream Home...
This 3,200-square-foot three-bedroom, three-bath home was originally built in the 80s.
I love that HGTV renovated an existing home instead of building a new structure

My favorite part of the kitchen is this forest green subway tile with white grout....
it adds an interesting colorful contrast to the neutral gray cabinets.

This home also has a huge master suite. A wall was removed from the original structure to provide this extra roomy sitting area. (photo: White Rustic Photo)

Love this indoor/outdoor retreat that opens up to the pool area.
It has a fireplace and a wet bar. (photo: Christina Wedge)

Beautiful relaxing backyard with pool and fire pit. (photo: Christina Wedge)

In my opinion, this is the best view! (photo: White Rustic Photography)

Bunk beds...not just for kiddos

One of my most fond vacation memories was when we stayed in a bunk room. At first, I wasn't thrilled about climbing up a ladder to the top bunk, but I reverted back to childhood quickly....staying up late, giggling and laughing until midnight like a teenage girl! Bunks are not just for kids anymore! It seems like "bunk rooms" are increasingly popular these days. They are smart space saving ideas for guest houses and rooms. Don't be surprised to find a bunk room in your next vacation rental house. I've posted a few of my favs below....
